About the Job

Working closely with our Project Manager, we are looking for a talented and initiative-taking individual to join us as a Project Coordinator in a new, varied, and exciting role at Harbor Solutions.

Project coordination involves assisting in the day-to-day operations of a project, making sure resources are aware of deadlines and tasks that they are responsible for, and completing relevant administrative tasks associated with the project. A Project Coordinator works very closely with the Project Manager and is aware of the goals of a project.

As well as coordinating projects, there will be elements of taking on smaller projects and undertaking them from start to finish of the project cycle. This will be done initially under close support of the Project Manager, eventually becoming more autonomous.

Lastly, we’re looking for someone who is willing and motivated to learn about how Backup Solutions work at a high level and how this service is implemented and can vary within a project cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Joining the PPMO, reporting to the Project Manager and contributing to the repeatable success of Harbor’s projects, programmes, and professional services engagements.
  • Administering back-end tooling, producing reports, ensuring the capture of quality real-time information for our customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Joining and contributing on customer conference calls, providing support in opening, updating on progress, and closing projects.
  • Following a period of in-house training, developing the skills to undertake project management responsibility for smaller projects and professional services engagements.
  • Adhering to project governance controls to ensure a repeatable, successful outcome of our projects and professional services engagements.
  • Contributing to a cycle of continual improvement to maintain and assure the standards of project management processes, tools, quality, reporting, and documentation.
  • Providing project methodology knowledge-based support for our technical implementation specialists and sales team.
  • Monitoring project forecasted targets versus actual performance and identifying anomalies for further action.
  • Coordinating resources to ensure project activities remain on schedule.
  • Reporting on projects and professional services engagements to customers, partners, and internal departments.
  • Initiating projects, setting up tooling and repositories required to deliver, monitor, and manage projects.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a Project Admin/Coordinator role (1 year+).
  • Experience in an IT background (1 year+).
  • Confident in communicating with different internal teams including Sales & BAU teams.
  • Demonstrates a rational and organised approach to work.
  • Able to plan, schedule, and monitor your own work to meet deadlines.
  • Competent using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with Salesforce & Asana (preferred).
  • Identifies and negotiates own development opportunities.
