About the Job
This is a full-time hybrid position for a Senior Sales Engineer at Harbor Solutions. In this role, the Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to clients, effectively communicating their needs and addressing any concerns.
Additionally, the Sales Engineer will play a key role in driving sales and growth for the company by developing strong relationships with clients and delivering exceptional customer service on a daily basis.
This position requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to ensure client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Role focused on driving business growth through expert pre-sales support, targeting long-term recurring revenue from new and existing clients.
- Responsible for guiding customers on data protection and disaster recovery solutions, providing subject matter expertise, and conducting product demonstrations (Rubrik, Druva & Zerto).
- Engages with customers through workshops, demonstrations, and strategic advisory, establishing senior technical relationships to support sales and minimise customer churn.
- Collaborates internally, enhancing team knowledge and improving pre-sales processes, methodologies, and execution.
- Collaborates closely with account managers, SMEs, and marketing teams to identify, pursue, and secure new sales opportunities, while continuously staying updated on industry trends and vendor technologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consulting, designing, and delivering large-scale enterprise solutions; beneficial to have experience in data protection/disaster recovery or cyber/information security.
- Strong understanding of traditional hosting, data centre services, hybrid, and cloud-based architectures.
- Proven ability in managing complex consultative sales engagements, including preparation of technical proposals (RFPs/RFIs) and experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.com.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to interact effectively with C-level executives and technical experts alike.
- Demonstrated capability to lead by example, effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and actively contribute to the sales pipeline with strong commercial awareness.
